You would probably be good to do them every three months with a synthetic wax like Zaino or something. The stuff lasts 6 months or longer on paint... based on water beading.

What does a brushed finish look like? I only know metallic and non metallic when it comes to paint. I am not a body guy by any means.

Brushed would be a matt chrome so sort of like silver paint on a car.
