Cannot get my A1 out of limp mode

As the title suggests. It's happened to me a few times before but after a drive and a few engine re-starts, it's always come out of limp mode but not this time. It's a 2011 model.

After speaking to one garage:

I have driven one hour in 5th gear at 60-65mph at a steady 2,000 rpm
Then driven in 4th gear at 50mph for 40min at a steady 2,000 rpm

Still in limp mode.

I have been to another garage and he says to get it to 3,000 to 3,500 rpm at a consistent speed for 30mins. That seems crazy and I'm not even sure I can get it to that rpm in limp mode.

Any suggestion guys?
