passenger wing mirror view (australia)

Hi all, hoping to get some answers here.

just picked up my A1 yesterday and quickly noticed that the view from the passenger wing mirror is the weirdest i've seen in any car. i can't adjust it far out enough to see into the next lane and it has this weird warped view to it. it's so bad to the point where i'm seeing more of my car than anything else.
have i just got a bad mirror/adjustment or is it like that for all A1s? i can't remember if i've noticed it while test driving prior to purchase.

hi this is easily overcome by addding a small bubble mirror available for just a few £'s
