Default Is the A1 a "Family" car

Obviously, I don't mean a family with three kids and a dog, but could you get along with the car if the situation were two adults and one infant?

I recall that when my daughter was born, I had a full-size Pontiac 4-door sedan as a company car... and I was really glad of it.

I miss the days where I would sit on my dad's lap while he would stear and drive. Now a days you do have to worry about how to fit the whole family and all the safety stuff.

If you or your wife are short yes. There is not that much room for a baby seat in the back with two full grown adults in the front. I put the car seat behind the passenger seat so the woman has to suffer with lack of legroom, not me!

I think this is more a starter car for the couple that does not have a kid yet.

I also have a young one and own an A1, but you are right it's not the best fit for a family. We live in the city though and having a vehicle is a necessary evil although we don't drive much. The A1 works well for our purposes and I think a toddler seat would fit in just fine, perhaps better than a backwards facing child seat.
